In this stressful time, we at Affinity would like to share our thoughts about the safety and importance of drug testing and our commitment to support you and your licensees.  The two major national labs we use, Quest and LabCorp, have assured us that their patient service centers used by our participants are NOT used for Corona Virus testing  The vast majority of sites will stay open with a few closing due to staffing issues.

We strongly encourage social distancing and good hygiene at those sites as in all social contacts.

Clinics and urgent care settings should be used only as a last resort.

We believe testing is as essential to the recovering professional as blood sugar testing for diabetics or blood pressure monitoring for hypertension.   This is for both the public safety issue, which is especially critical now, as well as to protect individuals in early recovery.  The stress associated with this current crisis certainly puts people with substance use disorders at increased risk from their disease.

For programs that are going to suspend testing or decrease frequency, when things re-approach normalcy the use of Peth testing as well as hair/nail testing can give us a longer window back.

Affinity staff will continue to be available to support you in your work, answer questions and solve any problems you and your program may encounter.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns,
